Great job in NYC for an ID doctor…

If my family were hoping to move to New York City, I’d be taking a long, hard look at this job:

The AIDS Center and Division of Infectious Diseases at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine is recruiting a BC/BE ID-trained physician for a full-time position.

The position is based at the Montefiore AIDS Center, one of the largest HIV programs in New York State.  The Attending would be working primarily at the AIDS Center’s newest outpatient site, the Oval Center at Montefiore, which is a prominent and growing academic location for STD care, HIV prevention, LGBT care, and Hepatitis C treatment.  The attending would be integrally involved in STD care and HIV prevention, with some time for direct HIV care and ID consults, and many opportunities for academic, teaching, and public health work.  Our HIV PREP/PEP program at the Oval Center is about to expand and the attending would have a leadership role in HIV prevention, with the potential for leadership at the Oval Center as well in the future.  Academic appointment at Einstein in the Dept of Medicine and I.D. Division, according to experience.  Preferred candidates would have significant clinical and academic experience and interests with populations at highest risk for STDs and HIV.  This is not a J-1 eligible position.

Candidates are invited to send a cover letter and CV to me at bzingman@montefiore.org

Thank you for passing this along or posting it.
