6 million
6 million people die each year from tobacco products globally
as we say in public health,
“Smoking is the leading cause of preventable death. Worldwide, tobacco use causes nearly 6 million deaths per year, and current trends show that tobacco use will cause more than 8 million deaths annually by 2030.”
i lived in lexington kentucky from 8th-12th grades and still consider it my home because that’s where i grew up
kentucky is where i became a man
i did research in tobacco genetics at the university of kentucky for almost two years
that’s where i learned what pcr was. western blot. etcetera.
in kentucky, basketball and tobacco are king. there is little else. tobacco means survival.
will kentucky be able to reinvent itself or will it decay and go extinct
when i drive or fly home to kentucky the smell of burley tobacco always hits me and i am home
the cicadas
the old time kentucky fiddle tunes, john salyer, clyde davenport.
kentucky wildcats basketball. and rupp arena
kentucky that’s where i am from
my old kentucky home
