Grand Rounds at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital

On January 14, I am privileged to give Grand Rounds to the medical staff at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital here in Boston. I’m going to talk about strategies to reduce clinician burnout and mental illness and to improve well-being. In our work as healers, humanism and relieving suffering are central themes, yet burnout and mental illness can threaten these values.

  1. That’s terrific! I saw your mention of this in the wonderful Christmas letter you wrote. The logo is pretty cool; did you design it now?

Must be a relief to be off service now!

    Happy and healthy 2020! Vivek

    1. Thanks VIvek! I really appreciate your support and friendship along the way. The logo was designed by Lauren Battista, an assistant basketball coach at Princeton with hidden artistic talent.

  2. Hi Phil,

I remember talking about this. I’m glad this is happening, and I hope it goes well!
